Taylor Swift has infuriated locals after roads were closed in New Jersey

New Jersey locals have fumed over Taylor Swift’s "special treatment" while she was in attendance at her close pal and collaborator Jack Antonoff's wedding.

Over the weekend the Bleachers singer Jack officially tied the knot with Andie MacDowell's daughter Margaret Qualley. The music producer, 39, and the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actress, 28, said "I do" in a ceremony full to the brim with famous faces. The pair had their ceremony in New Jersey, with their wedding reception held at Bird & Betty’s in Beach Haven.

Attended by a string of famous stars, Taylor Swift, 33, was among the celebrities to attend the wedding and the reception, with the Anti-Hero hitmaker also going to the rehearsal dinner the night before. But when Taylor attended the rehearsal on the evening before Jack and Margaret's big day, hundreds of people were trying to get a glimpse of the Speak Now songstress.

In some snaps and video clips that emerged online, some people were even climbing up to open windows of the venue, while even more people joined the back of the crowds with their phones ready to snap a photo of the star. And because the roads got closed off while Jack and Margaret's special occasions took place and while stars like Taylor Swift, Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum partied away, some locals are fuming.

Page Six has now revealed that while the celebrities enjoyed a knees up in Bird & Betty's nightclub area, local fishers were taking part in the annual Beach Haven White Marlin Invitational celebrated on the patio upstairs from the club area. The outlet have said that one local even fumed "f**k the wedding" with them saying that Jack and his bride should’ve planned it on a different weekend.

Meanwhile, another local slammed the special occasions that were filled with famous faces for shutting down the roads in the surrounding area. Speaking to the publication, the local spoke of the whole street being shut, adding: "We had to be escorted just to take a photo [with the fish]." Another then added that the celebrity attendees "didn't belong" and were getting "so much special treatment".

This comes as Jack and Margaret got hitched over the weekend after the couple were first romantically linked back in August 2021. The couple then became engaged last May, with the actress spotted with a huge shiny sparkler on her ring finger at Cannes Film Festival last year, which sparked engagement rumours.
