Britney Spears is frantically rewriting her memoir to include her divorce battle, the Mirror can reveal.
The star’s autobiography The Woman in Me is due out on October 24. But after her shock split from husband Sam Asghari last week, she is now to reveal all about her marriage breakdown. Britney is also to release new music, which pals say is taking her mind off the break up.
A source said: “To have such a major moment omitted from the book would be senseless. “Her fans want to know what was behind the split. “Britney is keen to ensure she takes control of the narrative, and there is no better way than to say what happened in her own words in her book.”
The pair got married in June last year (Getty Images for GLAAD)Iranian-American actor Asghari, 29, filed for divorce on August 16, 14 months after the couple were married. He cited “ irreconcilable differences”. It comes amid claims of Britney’s infidelity, reported rows and her odd behaviour online.
The three-times wed singer has hired celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Despite the heartache, Britney is said to be “in great spirits” and working on new projects. A source said: “She would love to do a new record soon, and maybe a powerful song for the book’s release.”

Asghari’s team declined to say anything and Britney’s did not respond to requests for comment.
