Arsenal will be aiming to extend their positive start to the new season on Monday as they take on Crystal Palace.

The Gunners travel to Selhurst Park on Monday having overcome Nottingham Forest in their opening game of the campaign. Whilst they are not in action for a couple of days, it gives Arsenal time to get more work done in the transfer market.

The North Londoners are in the market for more defensive recruits following the major injury suffered by Jurrien Timber. Take a look at all of the latest transfer rumours coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours:

Arsenal make Fati approach

Arsenal have reportedly made an approach for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati. The Spanish striker looks set to leave Catalonia this summer having fallen out of favour under current boss Xavi.

As per reports in Spain, the Gunners have opened dialogue with his representative Jorge Mendes and would be interested in taking him to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Fati would be open to bidding farewell to Barcelona.

However, Arsenal face competition in a race for his services with Premier League and North London rivals Tottenham also thought to be interested. Meanwhile, Xavi also appears to have quietened down talk over a move.

Speaking in a press conference, the Spaniard said: “Ansu Fati is part of the Club, in the present and in the future.”

Arsenal set Partey price

Whilst Fati could be set to arrive at the Emirates, one star who could be on the way out is midfielder Thomas Partey. According to Takvim, Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in a swoop for the Ghanaian.

It is suggested that they would be willing to pay up to €10m (£8.5m) to sign the former Atletico Madrid star this summer. Erden Timur, the club’s vice-chairman, has apparently launched talks in an effort to get a deal over the line.

Galatasaray may have to up their offer though, with it being suggested that the Gunners want to receive €14m (£11.9m) if they were to sell Partey.

Runarsson moves on

Arsenal goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson is on the move once more having penned a season-long loan deal with Championship side Cardiff City.

“It took some time, but I’m pleased to be here," he said after the move was confirmed. "The Club made contact with my agent and said that they wanted to sign me, I know it’s a big club and it sparked my interest right away.”

Runarsson has just one year left on his contract with the Gunners, although Arsenal have an option to extend that by a further year. The move to Cardiff represents his third successive loan switch away from North London after spells with OH Leuven and Alanyaspor.
