Madonna has spent her birthday reflecting on her recent health woes as she said it's "great to be alive".
The Queen of Pop, who turned 65 on Wednesday, was rushed to an intensive care unit with a "serious bacterial infection" back in June after being found unconscious. She was intubated for at least one night before having the tube removed.
After being released from hospital, Madonna spent time recovering in her New York home. Now, she's taken to Instagram to share some clips from her birthday celebrations in Lison.
Captioning the post, she wrote: "It's great to be Alive………… .. and Amazing to Be able to put on my dancing shoes and Celebrate my Birthday! Im So Grateful. Thank you Lisbon and to all who made it possible!"

The singer accessorised her look with several bangles and a black cross necklace. She also wore a pair of silver dangly earrings and had a colourful clutch purse on the bed next to her.
Madonna was then seen living her best life on board a yacht. She pouted for the camera as she soaked up the sun while rocking a wide-brimmed white hat, which she clung to so it didn't blow away in the wind.

The 26-year-old model rocked a white dress and stilettos as she performed in a room lit by candelabras. Madonna and Lourdes then shared a sweet embrace.
For her birthday celebrations, Madonna was dressed in a sheer white dress with sequin detailing. She added a black minidress underneath. She seemed to have a fantastic time as she let her hair down and danced with her children.
Near the end of the clip, Madonna reiterated: "It's great to be alive." Before the video finished, her friends and family were heard belting out the lyrics to Elton John's Your Song.
