Emmerdale fans think they have figured out how Dan Spencer could be released from prison after he was sentenced to eight years on Thursday's episode. Earlier this year, Dan punched his daughter Amelia's online stalker, Lloyd, which resulted in the latter being left in a coma in a hospital with a serious head injury.
Dan later pleaded guilty to the charges against him without realising Lloyd had been pronounced dead in hospital. On Thursday, Dan arrived in court where he faced a serious prison sentence for manslaughter and in a huge twist he was delivered an eight-year sentence of imprisonment. The episode ended with Dan being led to his prison cell.
However, while this looks like the end of Dan for the next eight years, soap watchers think he could be back to the village sooner than viewers think thanks to Lloyd's wife Julie. Viewers reckon Julie will stumble upon a piece of evidence that proves that Lloyd was stalking Amelia - as so far the police have found nothing incriminating supporting the claims he was targeting the young mum.

Lloyds wife will probably find something in her house or a past victim will come forward and Dans sentence will get lowered, since he would be seen as protecting Amelia. #Emmerdale", a different account put: "Is Lloyds wife going to announce that she knew what was happening #Emmerdale." Elsewhere, one person said: "He will be out after Xmas!" with another adding: "He will only serve half!"
It comes as actor Liam Fox was left tearful after a sweet tribute from fellow soap star Daisy Campbell as he left the ITV soap. Co-star Daisy, who plays Amelia, was left devastated as her on-screen father was jailed and off screen the actress shared her sadness at no longer working with Liam.

Daisy made a loving tribute to her on-screen dad, which left Dan star Liam in tears as he watched. The actress recalled her first moments of working with Liam, adding the actor "literally taught me everything I know and I am always going to stick to the things you have taught me since being young".
The actress emotionally signed off the video: "I can’t believe I am saying goodbye, you are going to smash it, thank you for everything you have taught me. I can’t believe this is the final goodbye after working together for 12 years but I know I will definitely see you again. Lots of love, bye!"
