Man accused of killing girlfriend shared selfie saying 'I'm happy all the time'
A man was arrested for his girlfriend's murder just months after he shared selfies and social media posts saying he was "happy all the time".
David Alan Profitt II, 25, was arrested by a SWAT team at the Topgolf course in Fishers, Indiana, on Saturday, the Fishers Police Chief Ed Gebhart said.
He was later charged with the murder of his girlfriend, 22-year-old Alexandra Hemmann, found in their shared home in Winners Circle, Bowling Green.
Hemmann was found dead on Saturday when officers performed a welfare check at their apartment. Authorities had reportedly been made aware Profitt had left the state, Friends also alerted police when they were concerned they hadn't heard from Hemmann and couldn't contact her.

In an image posted from late May, the couple are seen looking at the camera while embracing, reports the New York Post.

Profitt wrote on social media he was, "Living life to its fullest. I’m happy all the time lol." Hemmann, from Connecticut, had worked at Lowes, with a friend saying: "Alexandra Hemmann was a hoot!" Colleagues also left heartbroken tributes online, urging people to reach out for help to friends and family if needed.
It is not clear how authorities knew Profitt was at the Topgolf course at the time of his arrest. Bowling Green Police also confirmed the couple were in a relationship at the time of Hemmann's death.
Profitt is set to be transferred to Warren County Regional Jail in the coming days, police said. He may face more charges once the case is presented to a grand jury, officials added. Police are also yet to find an official cause of death and it is currently listed as inconclusive.
