Coleen Rooney's 6 huge interview bombshells - 'evil' texts to forgiving Rebekah

Coleen Rooney has addressed the sensational fall-out between herself and fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy.

October 9, 2019, was a day that changed both Coleen and Rebekah's lives with just one social media post. Liverpudlian Coleen, shared a blistering statement accusing Becky's social media accounts of leaking stories to the press – a claim she denies.

In a post which is now famous in its own right, Coleen, 37, explained she had become a secret detective to discover who was responsible. "It was...... Rebekah Vardy's account" saw Coleen dubbed Wagatha Christie – a play on Agatha Christie. But after coming out on top following a High Court case, Coleen has spoken for the first time and shared some major news.

Here, we take a look at her tell-all interview with British Vogue during which, Coleen has dropped some bombshells.

While many celebs often use the notes app on their phone, mum-of-four Coleen admitted she was a bit more sophisticated. Having seen the story about an alleged flood in the basement of her Cheshire mansion appear in another tabloid, Coleen decided she'd had enough.

The night before the blistering post, she began thinking of what to write. But instead of taking to the notes app, she used an old school pencil and a rubber so she could change things. Just a few hours later, Coleen changed the world of showbiz and entertainment.

But while she hadn't allowed her husband Wayne, her mum or even her lawyer to read the post before she went public, Coleen pressed the "publish" button without hesitation. Keeping things calm and collected, she took her son Kai and his friends to a nearby indoor skydiving centre as the nation was gripped by the drama.

Rebekah's 'friendship'

You would assume that if somebody allowed you to follow them on your private account which was just for close friends, you would be a friend of theirs. However, this wasn't the case for Becky and Coleen. The former television presenter says she initially believed Rebekah would be protective of another WAG.

"We would associate," she said, before adding that she had never been for a drink with Vardy. Upon receiving an invitation to a baby shower, Coleen explained that while it was nice, she didn't know Rebekah from Adam. After being invited to her and Jamie's wedding in 2016, to which Hello! magazine had exclusive rights, Coleen now questions whether Vardy had a plan to become her pal.

Legal worries

Rooney was knocked for six when Rebekah responded to the bombshell statement saying that she was seeking legal advice. Remembering that she hadn't sent the post to her own legal counsel, Coleen was left worried. "I wasn't that nasty," she told the outlet as she said the thought of being embroiled in a legal case was "scary".

The state was later "dragged to court" which she says she was initially dreading. But that wasn't the worst part.

Coleen says that she began to feel queasy when seeing Ms Vardy take to the stand to defend herself as she continued to deny any wrongdoing. The former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant explained that a former agent also had access to her Instagram account.

But she was not able to hand over her and her former agent, Caroline Watt's phone as Watt claimed to have dropped hers in the North Sea.

Sickening texts

Over the course of the trial, WhatsApp messages between Vardy and Watts were shown as evidence. One saw Coleen branded a "C***" as well as a "nasty b***h".

When Caroline messaged Rebekah asking: "Babe has Coleen unfollowed you?", Vardy responded: "Oh wow I just saw, wow, what a c***. I'm going to message her." When asked by Rooney's Barrister David Sherborne about who she had branded a "nasty b***h", Rebekah responded: "Who's this nasty b***h you're talking about?" Vardy said: "I can't recall exactly who it is but it's definitely not Coleen"

Speaking to Vogue, Coleen said she was "knocked sick" by the "evilness and hatred" demonstrated by Vardy.

While she may have a huge home in the Cheshire countryside and be partial to trips around the globe, Coleen was alone on an industrial estate when she found out she'd won the libel case. Her lawyer opened the call and explained that she had been victorious.

Her eldest son was on a photo shoot in Manchester while she sat alone in the car and "swore" with excitement. After the judge ruled that Vardy was accountable, she was instructed to cover Coleen's costs of £800,000.

Forgiving Becky?

When asked whether she would consider forgiving Rebekah, Coleen wasted no time saying exactly what was on her mind.

"I'm a forgive-and-forget person, I can't be bothered with things going on and on, but, this is obviously totally different," she said, before adding: "I can't live in the past. It's happened now and I move on."

As the Rooney family prepare to move on from the drama surrounding that post, Coleen will be releasing her tell-all autobiography in time for Christmas. Meanwhile, the whole family are currently being filmed for a reality documentary.
