Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari 'miserable' in last photos before split

Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari looked "miserable" on their last holiday together. The pair went on a sun-soaked vacation to Cabo, Mexico but looked less than pleased to be in each other's company.

The Toxic singer was seen in an oversized light pink T-shirt on top of a dark red long-sleeved mini dress. She tied her blonde hair into a messy ponytail and wore black sunglasses as she strutted about holding onto her bag and other bits. Meanwhile Sam wore a salmon coloured T-shirt and beige shorts, with a camo-print rucksack slung over one shoulder.

Sam appeared to to be frustrated while Britney looked less than relaxed. The pictures come just one month before the the pair are said to have split after one-year of marriage.

Sam is said to have moved out of the marital home he shared with Britney after a "nuclear" argument. An insider told TMZ: "It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce." Sam allegedly approached Britney about cheating rumours.

While it isn't clear if the rumours are true, the source said that what ensued was a heated argument. Britney has been photographed driving near their LA home without her wedding ring, and snaps of Sam on his Instagram show he's also ditched his.

The Toxic singer broke her silence with an unrelated but slightly odd Instagram post in which she talks about buying a horse. Alongside a snap of her riding a horse while wearing a yellow bikini and black hot pants, she writes: "Buying a horse soon!!! So many options it's kinda hard. A horse called Sophie and another called Roar. I can't make up my mind!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar."

He said on his Instagram story: "The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the 'tough' part was having a father who hasn't worked much in over 15 years as a role model."

Sam and Britney first met in October of 2016 on the set of her music video. They made their relationship 'Instagram official' by January of 2017. After years of dating, Sam proposed to Britney in 2021. In 2022, they held a private ceremony, where she reportedly did not invite her parents. Sam later shared a cute montage of moments with Britney and called her "the woman of his dreams".
