Manchester United's Premier League season got off to a winning start against Wolves on Monday night, but the display left more questions than answers.

Indeed, Erik ten Hag's work in the summer transfer market is clearly not done, with pundits left noting the lack of defensive midfielder as the visitors regularly cut United to shreds going forward. But firstly, he needs to let players to go amid FFP restrictions.

This is proving easier said than done though. Harry Maguire's £30 million move to West Ham is set to fall through, with the centre back seemingly keen to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford.

United centre back Eric Bailly has been left in out in the cold following reports that Manchester City have accepted a bid from Al-Nassr for Aymeric Laporte.

The Ivory Coast international is free to leave Old Trafford after spending last season on loan at Marseille. He was seemingly lined up to be the next high-profile star to join the Saudi Pro League - but that move has now been scuppered by Al-Nassr's interest in Laporte.

According to The Athletic, the Saudi outfit have had a bid accepted for the 29-year-old, who featured just 12 times for the treble winners last season. Laporte is believed to be open to the idea of switching to the Middle East, which is bad news for Bailly.

Gary Neville has urged United manger Erik ten Hag to make two more signings before next month's transfer deadline expires at 11pm on September 1.

Responding to a post on social medai that asked him to rate United's summer window, he responded: "I'd say currently a solid 6.5 out of 10. We don't know fully how the three signings are doing to do so it could shift up or down. I wanted a proven striker with Hojland and another MDF. Let’s see what happens."
