Travis Barker fans got a glimpse at a new tattoo

On Sunday, Travis Baker gave fans a glimpse at a brand new tattoo with a very personal meaning. On his right wrist, he had the phrase "time flies" inked in by Lotus Tattoo artist CIV.

The tattoo is thought to be a reference to his fear of flying which he overcame with Kourtney Kardashian. The fear is the result of a brutal Learjet 60 plane crash that he and the now deceased DJ AM had survived. The others onboard were not as lucky. After the accident, Travis reportedly had burns on 65% of his body, being hospitalised for 11 weeks. Travis walked away from the event with post-traumatic stress disorder.

He thanked Kourtney on July 12 for helping him to overcome the fear. On Threads, he wrote: "Just flew for the 30th time since my plane crash. Wouldn't be able to tour or enjoy life again the way I do without the healing love of my amazing wife. I love you @kourtneykardash!"

Additionally to PTSD, Travis also left the accident with an inspiration to get sober. He admitted that without the horrible incident, he likely wouldn't be where he is today with his recovery.

He told Men's Health in 2021: "I was in a plane crash. That was my rehab. Lose three of your friends and almost die? That was my wake-up call. If I wasn't in a crash, I would have probably never quit."

Travis is no stranger for tattoos. Fulfilling his rock band member stereotype, he is covered in ink with over 100 designs Many of his tattoos have very special meanings to him as well, including several others dedicated to his wife, too.

Kourtney has even had the chance to tattoo Travis before

Back in 2021, Travis controversially tattooed Kourtney's lips on his bicep only a week after their engagement. He worked with artist Scott Campbell to make the design possible.

Scott shared the design on Instagram with the caption: "Scorpio season. On @travisbarker … Lips straight from the mouth of @kourtneykardash Congrats you two."

Kourtney, herself, has even had the chance to ink up her love. She shared on Instagram a photo of Travis under the needle, but this time it wasn't an artist holding the tattoo gun, but instead it was Kourtney herself. She captioned the picture with a simple "I tattoo". Also included in the carousel of photos was a look at her masterpiece: her handwritten "I love you" note.
