Oppenheimer viewers were recently left floored after spotting Hollyoaks' Craig Dean star Guy Burnet in the hit Blockbuster film.
Soap fans will recall that Guy, 40, played the legendary Craig Dean in the popular Channel 4 soap from 2002 until 2008, where he was part of several hard-hitting storylines. One of Craig's biggest storylines was when he started questioning his sexuality and later fell in love with John Paul McQueen with the two characters embarking in an on-off romance.
Since leaving the Chester-based soap in 2008, actor Guy has gone on to have a successful Hollywood career with appearances in films such as Pitch Perfect 3, where he played Theo in the 2017 blockbuster, which also stars A-listers Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow. The actor has also appeared in hit TV series Ray Donovan, The Affair and Counterpart.
Guy's most recent project has seen him join the star-studded cast of Oppenheimer, which was released in cinemas on 21 July 2023 in the UK. Guy plays George Eltenton in the movie and he stars alongside the likes of Hollywood stars Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt.

Guy plays George Eltenton in Oppenheimer (Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)Oppenheimer viewers were left stunned to see Guy in the movie, as he is best known for his role as Craig in Hollyoaks, taking to Twitter one person said: "I have lots of thoughts on Oppenheimer, and how extraordinary, and epic and chilling it is, and the power of cinema to bring unimaginable things to life, but can we also address the fact that Craig Dean from Hollyoaks is in it?" a different account put: "Was I the only one who didn't know Craig Dean was in Oppenheimer" with another writing: "Oppenheimer is absolutely breathtaking and, hopefully, the beginning of Craig from Hollyoaks’ renaissance."

Elsewhere, a different person said: "I'm still reeling from Craig from Hollyoaks being in Oppenheimer", another follower wrote: "Craig from Hollyoaks is in OPPENHEIMER and I’m just finding this out *today*???" another person put: "Thought I spotted Craig Dean from @Hollyoaks when I watched Oppenheimer earlier today. Just checked the cast list & it is him! Amazing achievement! Hollyoaks to Hollywood" while a different account added: "How did no one mention that Craig Dean from Hollyoaks has a cameo in Oppenheimer?"
