Watch Ireland vs England for free in the Summer Nations Series
England's unconvincing start to their Rugby World Cup warm-up fixtures will be tested on Saturday against the world number one side in Dublin.
England began their summer with a defeat in Cardiff before prevailing against Wales at Twickenham last weekend, despite being reduced to 12 men in the second half. Meanwhile, Andy Farrell's men kicked-off their preparations with a 33-17 win against Italy on August 5, and now play their second warm-up fixture.
Last weekend against Wales, England captain Owen Farrell was red carded, however, he will face no further ban and will be back to face Ireland and his father, Ireland coach Andy, this weekend. The last time that England faced Ireland was in March at the Aviva, with the home side sealing a Six Nations grand slam courtesy of a 29-16 win.
However, this will be played in a very different context, with Steve Borthwick's team having played more competitive rugby this summer. He will be hoping for a repeat of England's pre-2019 World Cup warm-up win against Ireland, having been part of the coaching staff for a 57-15 win at Twickenham.
