Meghan Markle is continuing her birthday celebrations as she headed for a fancy meal with her gal pals.

The Duchess of Sussex turned 42 earlier this month and marked the special occasion by going out for a date night with Prince Harry and watching Barbie in the cinema with her friends. She's now been seen having belated celebrations with two of her close pals.

In a snap shared on Instagram, Meghan was seen smiling next to her friends Kadi Lee and Cleo Wade as the trio enjoyed an al fresco meal. The group of women leaned in close, with Meghan putting her arms around Kadi and Cleo.

Sharing the picture on her social media account, Kadi said: "Belated bday celebrations w/ these lovely muses. Missing sweet Serge Normant." Serge is another close friend of Meghan, who styled her hair for her wedding to Harry.

In the picture, Meghan looked super relaxed as she wore a black vest top and a gold necklace with a circle pendant. The Duchess of Sussex pulled her long hair away from her face and carried a pair of black sunglasses to protect her eyes. She looked beautiful as she went for a minimal makeup look.

Meghan kicked off her birthday celebrations early this year with a night out with friends. The mother-of-two headed to the cinema with a group of pals, including Portia De Rossi, as they went to see the new Barbie movie in Santa Barbara.

After watching the film, a source said Meghan and her friends continued their night out at the San Ysidro Ranch hotel. Speaking to Page Six, they said Meghan happily posed for pictures with a hen party at the luxury hotel. They also claimed Meghan uttered a two-word message to the bride to be, wishing her "good luck" on her upcoming marriage.

Harry made sure to plan a special meal to celebrate his wife's birthday. The couple were spotted dining at the Tre Lune restaurant near their home in Montecito three days before Meghan's birthday.

They were pictured leaving the Italian eatery and were joined by a group of friends including Meghan's close pal Heather Dorak and her husband Matt Cohen. Tre Lune has a very mixed menu, which includes a mixed seafood risotto for $48 (£38).

Diners can also order items such as a steak on a bed of arugula which costs $65 (£51), or a pan-fried veal chop which costs $61 (£48). The restaurant states they pair their food with "a thoughtful wine list and classic cocktails".
