Meghan's intense wellness routine - from strict diet rule to stress patches
It seems keeping a healthy body and a happy mind has always been a top priority for Meghan Markle.
Even in the days when she ran her lifestyle blog, The Tig, she would share her best health and wellness tips with her followers. And it seems that even though this was many years ago, feeling well and grounded is still of utmost importance to the duchess.
In fact, just last week, she was spotted sporting an anti-stress patch on her wrist, which is said to help with the symptoms of stress and insomnia. But it's not just stress patches that Meghan has been spotted trying or talked about in the past, it appears she has a range of ways of looking after her well-being...
5am workouts
It may not be for everyone - but Meghan is said to be a fan of early mornings - rising at the crack of dawn each day to do yoga around 5am. Her mum, Doria Ragland, is an LA yoga instructor and seems to have passed on her love for it.

My mom is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was seven. I was very resistant as a kid, but she said, 'Flower, you will find your practice – just give it time.' In college, I started doing it more regularly.

"My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout; all of these things drive me to step onto my mat. Sometimes the idea of working out sounds absolutely dreadful, but I always remind myself of how good it will feel afterwards. Euphoric, almost!"
Face yoga
But it's not just yoga for the body that Meghan seems to be a fan of - she also reportedly likes to do face yoga too, which is said to help smooth wrinkles and make the skin glow. "I do facial exercises from one of my favourite aestheticians, Nichola Joss, who basically has you sculpt your face from the inside out,” Meghan revealed in a previous interview with Birchbox. “I swear it works, as silly as you may feel. On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are way more sculpted."
British facial exercise guru Danielle Collins claimed: "Facial yoga moves all the layers of the skin together to increase collagen and strengthen muscles. It also trains you to relax areas of tension that can lead to frown lines. It’s a natural alternative to Botox."
Diet choices
Meanwhile, as well as exercise, Meghan has always been transparent about her lifestyle choices, especially her diet - and previously spilled all about cooking on her now-defunct blog The Tig. To get her day started, she once revealed how she has hot water and a lemon slice, which is said to help with digestion. As for the rest of her diet, Meghan once said that "it's all about balance".

She explained: "When I'm filming, I'm conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends. Because I work out the way I do, I don’t ever want to feel deprived. I feel that the second you do that is when you start to binge on things."
Green juice
Meghan's early starts mean she may need a pick-me-up to keep her energy levels high - but it seems she doesn't opt for coffee. She once revealed her fondness for green juice, saying that a blend of "apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger" is "a much better boost than a cup of espresso."
But the duchess doesn't deprive herself of much, especially if she goes out for lunch. She once said during an interview: "I'm always hoping I'm having lunch with people, so we can share fries. It's its own food group for me."
Acupuncture and meditation
When it comes to her mental health, there is one therapy that both she and husband Prince Harry have reportedly turned to in the past - acupuncture. Meghan is said to have had acupuncture regularly before the birth of Prince Archie and visited a herbal wellness centre. It is said she turned to celebrity acupuncturist Ross Barr to carry out the needle treatment.

She plans to use it right up to her due date.” It can cost up to £6,240 a year for weekly 45-minute sessions. The couple are also said to have checked in to Barr’s London clinic before they wed. In fact, Barr is mentioned in the acknowledgement section of Harry's memoir, Spare.
Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry are also known to take part in meditation, with the pair practising it every day. In their bombshell Netflix docuseries, the couple can be seen taking part in a guided meditation as the instructor is heard telling them to inhale and exhale as they sit on a sofa with their palms facing up at the ceiling. After it finishes, Meghan then wipes tears away from her eyes.

Anti-stress patches
Manwhile, Meghan's latest wellness technique is one she showed off last week when she was spotted out and about near her home in Montecito. She had an unusual blue patch stuck to the inside of her wrist.
And it appears that it was an anti-stress patch developed by the brand NuCalm. Known as the Biosignal Processing Disc, it's said to "provide the resonance and frequencies to ensure a fast-acting, deep, and long-lasting NuCalm experience". The drug-free treatment is said to boost gaba neurotransmitters, reduces stress hormones and improve sleep, according to its US makers NuCalm. The patches cost $80 (£63) for a pack of 20, or $400 (£315) for a pack of 100.
