England will take on Spain in the final of the 2023 Women's World Cup and are just one game away from being crowned champions. While all eyes will be on the match, fans may notice US player Kristie Mewis among the crowd in Stadium Australia, who has dated both England and Australian players.

The footballing star previously dated England forward Rachel Daly and is currently in a relationship with Australia striker Sam Kerr. Mewis and Daly began as team-mates playing for US side Houston Dash, then their friendship flourished into a romantic relationship in November 2017. After two years together, the couple decided to part ways and continued to play together until 2021, when Mewis moved to her current club NJ/NY Gotham FC and Daly went back to England.

In 2021, Mewis found love again and began dating Chelsea superstar Kerr. Their romance first made headlines when they were photographed embracing on the pitch after USA beat Australia at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. At the time, Kerr's break-up with her partner of seven years, fellow footballer Nikki Stanton, had not yet become public.

The pair made it official when they snapped a picture of them kissing on Instagram. Now, two years later, Kerr and Mewis are one of football's power couples. In an interview with Gaffer, Kerr said: "I think just being out and being two girls in love, I think if we can change one or two people's lives and the way that they feel about each other and how comfortable they feel, then that means a lot to me. I love to share my relationship on social media."

The US star said her biggest worry since entering the relationship has been football coaches or team-mates fearing they are 'not serious about their careers', and assume they struggle to separate the two. Clearing it up, Kerr said: "I hope people know that when it's training time or play time, it doesn't come into it."

Kerr's ex-partner Daly is now in another relationship too, after falling for Manchester United player Millie Turner in 2021. The couple regularly share loved-up snaps together on social media, along with their rescue dog Dexi, and enjoy jetting off on holidays throughout the year.
