Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu says she and Davide Sanclimenti still care for each other - and dismissed claims she been making digs about her ex.
Ekin-Su and Davide shocked fans last month when the Italian hunk announced the pair had split, with Ekin-Su remaining tight-lipped on the break-up ever since. They sparked suggestions their romance is back on after they bundled in a car together following an ITV event last month.
But when she handed a warning to the latest Love Island champions Jess Harding and Sammy Root, by reflecting on her own experiences and some saw that as a poke at her former flame. She shared: "You need to realise there is a lot of eyes on you and live it privately, have your own space and trust your partner, communicate with your partner, don’t rush to live with them straight away.

She's rubbished claims she was having a pop at her ex following a recent interview (Jack Dredd/REX/Shutterstock)"You need to get to know each other like in the villa you know each other but you don’t know each other really," she told the Daily Mail. "Really get to know each other and then when the time is right move in together and enjoy every moment because it is a great experience and sometimes relationships last forever and you get married and have kids and Love Island is a great platform."
But she says people have read too much into the comments and wrote on Instagram: "I wasn't taking a 'swipe' at Davide. There's been a lot of speculation over the status of myself and Davide's relationship in recent weeks."

"Despite the narratives, Davide and I are on good terms. We both care about each other and I think everyone should respect that. Lots of love Ekin."
Speaking about their break-up previously, Italian Davide explained: "Me and Ekin-Su had our struggles due to our public positions and we still have them sometimes. If there's something that I would change or would have done differently [with Ekin-Su in the villa] maybe I would have taken things a bit more slowly."
An insider said at the time the pair broke things off earlier this year: “It’s fair to say Ekin is gutted about the split. She has worked really hard to make it work. She has stood by Davide after a series of cheating rumours, and was surprised when he decided to chuck it all in.
“The pair have been arguing a lot and while Davide is saying it’s a long time coming, Ekin doesn’t feel like that.” Davide broke the news the pair had split in an official statement earlier this year. "Ekin Su and I are no longer together," he said.
"I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best. I would like for everybody to respect the decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible."
The pair were together for narly a year before calling it quits. They awkwardly crossed paths as they bumped into each other at the Barbie movie premiere. But they set tongues wagging when they were spotted "all over each other" at the ITV summer party. They were seen sat close in the back seat as they made their way home in London.
