Royals wish Princess Anne a happy birthday just days after Meghan Markle snub
Princess Anne has been wished a happy birthday by the Royal Family with touching images alongside the King.
And the warm gesture comes just days after Meghan Markle was snubbed by royals when she celebrated her own birthday alongside family and friends in California.
Anne was seen in one photo published by the Royal Family today standing next to the King who is wearing his crown while she is wearing a ceremonial outfit. And in another black and white image, the two are seen together as young children with Anne’s older brother holding her hand and looking into her cot.
A message states: “Wishing Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal a very Happy Birthday today!” While the first photo was taken at Buckingham Palace on Coronation Day, the second was at Clarence House in July, 1951.

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry stepped away from the Royal Family back in 2020, but that hadn't stopped them from wishing her a happy birthday in recent years. Members of The Firm have previously come together to share tributes to Meghan on social media.
When Meghan and Harry first moved to America, it was the late Queen who led the birthday wishes to her. Sharing a post on the Royal Family's Instagram account, she said: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday."

The Royal Family's Twitter account shared pictures of Meghan with Harry as well as snaps of her with the Queen. They captioned the post: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday today!"
Last year, the Firm shared similar happy birthday messages to Meghan on Twitter, but their Instagram posts were notably different. Instead of sharing pictures of Meghan on their profiles, they instead shared their posts to Instagram Stories, which expire after 24 hours.
Anne will be enjoying her 73rd birthday no doubt surrounded by her family, including her five grandchildren. Since the age of 18, the Princess Royal has dedicated her life to her royal duties, evidenced by the fact that she frequently carries out the most royal engagements out of all the royals each year.
But the mother of two has a lifetime of firsts under her belt, from becoming the first royal to appear on TV to competing in the Olympics.
