Armed police have locked down a street after gunshots rang out and a man was rushed to hospital.
Officers scrambled to a Day-Today shop in Glasgow last night following reports of a man who was injured. They found a 35-year-old man and he was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Medics have described his injuries as serious, but not life-threatening. It is understood gunshots were fired during the attack, but the man was not hit with bullets. It is also understood a bladed weapon was involved. The street in Ladymuir Crescent has been locked down by cops with images showing shops being taped off.
A resident told the Scottish Sun: “I came out and seen an ambulance. That was between 9pm and 9:30pm. The place was swarming with police. I was quite scared. It’s a quiet area. We’ve been here for around two years and there’s been no problems.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Mirror: “Around 8.10pm on Sunday, 13 August, 2023, police received a report of a 35-year-old man being found injured on Ladymuir Crescent, Glasgow. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
