Antiques Roadshow returned for another instalment on Sunday evening with guests left stunned to discover the true price of their valuable items. During the episode, one guest was left amazed to discover the value of the sculpture he had received from his mother's uncle after thinking it was just £20.
The piece in question was a bronze figure that saw a boy dancing on top of a turtle and was examined by expert Will Farmer. Will said: "Well, what a super little figure, so beautifully modelled! Look at the dance, look at the energy! Who doesn't want to see a lad dancing on the back of a turtle? Come on, tell me, where's he come from?"
One guest was left amazed to discover the value of the sculpture he had received from his mother's uncle after thinking it was just £20The guest then explained: "Came from an uncle of my mother's, who lived in Australia for 20 years" to which Will continued: "Now, he's a little bit of a mystery because he's unsigned but he's so nicely observed! Date-wise, I'd put him at the end of the 19th century." However, due to a cleaning error, the statute had lost its full value.
Will said: "I've got to ask one question... he does have a slight problem. Who is the cleaner?" to which the guest admitted they were responsible. Will continued: "These bronzes would have originally been finished with a lovely warm patinated finish. You have taken away some of the value, of course. People like to see these in an original finish you've taken a bronze that maybe would have been £400, £500... down to £200."

I thought it was worth £20 to be quite honest with you!" with Will joking: "Look, everything's a win-win then, isn't it, really?" The latest episode was filmed from Sefton Park Palm House in Liverpool.

Elsewhere on the show, one guest was left stunned after he discovered how much money his John Lennon memorabilia was worth after getting the house number of the Beatles star's childhood home valued. Expert Raj Bisram revealed it was worth a staggering amount. Raj said: "If that went to a specialist Beatles sale, it would make £5,000 to £8,000 easily, but it could double that, it really could double that. I think this is a great little piece of Beatles memorabilia."
