Meghan given lessons on 'royal etiquette' ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry

Meghan Markle was given lessons on proper royal etiquette ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in May, it's been reported.

It was believed the former Suits star is being taught how to hold cups of tea, to dress the "proper way" and walk the "proper way" and also how she eats. Grant Harrold, Prince Charles' former butler, has revealed what sorts of things that will be asked of the US actress in the coming weeks.

“She has to be careful what she says, how she says it, and how it’s taken because after the 19th of May, it will be a reflection of the royal family," he said. “It’s everyday things – from the way she walks, the way she speaks, the things she does, how she eats, how she holds her cup, how she dresses – everything will be looked at. There will be a lot for her to adapt to," he told the Daily Star.

Harry and Meghan married at St George's Chapel in Windsor in May, 2018. Tens of thousands of people lined the streets to watch the happy couple and millions more watched on TV from around the world.

Less than two years after they tied the knot, and following the birth of their eldest son, Prince Archie, the couple stepped down as working royals and left the UK. They first lived in Canada before relocating again to Montecito in California, where they welcomed their daughter, Lilibet.

Since leaving the royal family, the couple have released a documentary series on Netflix and took part in a bombshell interview with chat show queen Oprah Winfrey, where they stunned the globe with some of their claims from the time as working royals. Prince Harry has also released his autobiography, Spare, where he details his time within the Firm.

Earlier this year it was revealed the couple, who signed a multi-million dollar deal with Spotfy, had been parted ways with the company after just one series of Meghan's podcast, Archetypes. Harry and Meghan returned to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last year and again for her funeral last September.

But the Duke of Sussex flew back to Britain alone for his father, King Charles' Coronation without Meghan or their children. The duchess had remained in California as the event clashed with Archie's birthday and Harry only stayed a few hours before jetting back across the Atlantic to be with his family.
