If you're trying to lose weight, you'll know that it's important to stock your kitchen with healthy foods that are going to help you on your journey, such as fresh fruit and veg, lean meats, and wholewheat carbohydrates. And while some healthy foods can be expensive, one woman has claimed she managed to lose an impressive three stone with the help of some cheap products from Aldi - including a 75p yoghurt.
Jodie Moon shared a video in which she said she reached her "weight loss and protein goals" using the products, many of which were from Aldi's range of protein-packed products that include yoghurts, puddings, and granola pots. Eating a healthy and balanced diet is hugely important, and while you shouldn't overdo it on the protein, having a protein yoghurt or shake can help boost your performance in the gym which in turn can help you lose weight.
Jodie shared her product list in a video on her @jodiemoon47 TikTok account, where she wrote: "Aldi finds [that are] great for weight loss and protein goals [and] helped me lose three stone!"
Among the products included in her clip were: Snackin Chicken, which is a ready-to-eat chicken product that contains 17g of protein, a 25g protein yoghurt pouch, a 20g protein pudding, a 25g protein yoghurt pot, a 20g protein yoghurt drink, low-fat cheddar cheese, a 22g protein granola pot, and Aldi's own brand of Weetabix called Wheat Bisks.
The yoghurt pots Jodie showed off come in strawberry or raspberry flavours and cost just 75p for a 200g pot. The drinkable pouches of yoghurt are priced at 99p each but are currently discounted online and are 95p, while the granola pots are £1.29 and the puddings are usually £1.25 but are currently £1.19. The Snackin Chicken products are 99p each.
Dr Michael Mosley shares exercise that can cut cholesterol and blood pressure
Commenters on the video were grateful toward Jodie for sharing her go-to foods to aid in her weight loss journey, and on top of praising her for shedding three stone, they also said they couldn't wait to head to Aldi themselves to pick up some products from the protein range.
One person said: "Need to do Aldi shop ASAP," while another tagged their friend and echoed: "We need to do an Aldi shop!," and a third simply praised: "You look amaze!"
Meanwhile, TV doctor Michael Mosley recently explained that his go-to snack is a handful of nuts - as they are packed full of "healthy fats" that can keep your energy levels up throughout the day.
He said: "I make a point of always keeping a variety of nuts and seeds in stock, including almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, chia and sesame seeds. I like to roast them myself, to enhance the flavour. Nuts are rich in fibre to feed your microbiome and are an excellent source of healthy natural fat. I love them with porridge, and they make an excellent snack."
