I'm A Celeb star wins praise after showing birthmark she usually covers
BBC Radio 1Xtra host Snoochie Shy has won praise from social media followers for showing off a birthmark on her face that she usually covers with make-up.
The 31-year-old I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star - whose real name is Cheyenne Davide - hinted that she is at times self conscious about the natural marking that appears below one of her eyes. Snoochie - who was a contestant on I’m A Celeb in 2021 - posed on social media with natural make-up earlier this week.
However, she kept her birthmark free of foundation or any other make-up so it was clear for all to see. And after sharing the snap online, the radio star was inundated with compliments.
One fan wrote: “As another woman with a birthmark on her cheek, I salute you. Well done girl! Takes courage to do what you did. I cover mine every day!"

[It] took me a while to learn to embrace my birthmark but you have to learn to appreciate that something different about you can make you beautiful and that's what makes you you."

She continued: "One of my main things coming in here, and I said it to my mum and the guy I'm seeing, 'I think people are going to think I'm a catfish. I'm not going to look like my Insta.' Insta is your best angles, you've got sick lighting, you've got make-up on. I don't edit my face, but obviously, I'll put like… if I've got spots, I hide it, with my birthmark I cover it with make-up.”

Last week, Snoochie alarmed fans when she revealed she had been rushed to hospital with chest pains. Taking to Instagram Stories on Friday, she gave an update about her hospital dash.
She explained: “I thought I’d come on here and give a little update because obviously I put up before that I had chest pains and stuff and I went to A&E and all of that and I got discharged after 13 hours. All of my scans that they did on my heart, they came back normal.
“They did a blood test and there was some things in the blood test that were a little bit weird, so now I have this little baby on.”
Pulling down her top to show she had a device attached to her chest, she continued: “Basically it is a heart monitor. I have to have it on for twenty-four hours and if there is any pain, I will tap it. But I ain’t got any pain right now. And it comes up blue and it records the heart and stuff.
“I’ve got to do a heavy cardio session today to try and get heart rate going up as well so they can check out what’s going on over there. That’s the update for now!”
She went on to encourage her social media followers to seek medical advice if they experience any pains in their chest themselves.
