Katharine McPhee & David Foster cancel tour dates amid 'horrible' family tragedy
Pop singer Katharine McPhee unexpectedly cancelled her remaining Asia tour dates as she and her husband David Foster were forced to hurry home to the US after the couple suffered a "horrible tragedy in their family".
The 39-year-old artist was performing on tour alongside her partner, 16 Grammy award-winning star David, as they shared the disappointing news with their fans on Instagram. The couple, who married back in 2018, took their musical talents international this year with incredible duets performed across Asia. In the announcement, Katherine shared: "It's with a heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final 2 shows of our Asia run" the singer continued: "David and I have had a horrible horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us need to get back home to our family."

The upcoming shows cancelled were at Jakarta’s Sentul International Convention Centre on August 11 and 12. The couple has not yet revealed what the personal tragedy was that caused the cancellation.
The announcement on Katharine's Instagram was met with great love and understanding from the famous pair's fans as they wished the couple a safe trip home and well wishes for their family member.
One fan wrote: "Deepest condolences to you and David at this difficult time. Sending my sincere prayers and love to you both."

And a third commented: "I was really looking forward to your performance tomorrow night. Sending love and a virtual hug. I hope everything is okay" followed by a series of crying and red heart emojis."

The famous Canadian composer proudly shared that he has "no regrets" welcoming a new baby into the world with his fifth wife and has not "regretted a single day of it". The couple's son Rennie is David's sixth child as he has already raised five daughters who are now adults from his previous relationships including 42-year-old Sara, 36-year-old Jordan, 40-year-old Erin, 53-year-old Allison, and 50-year-old Amy.
