Card games have kept people occupied for decades. With an exhaustive list of different games to play with them - they're a staple to everyone and can help tick away time or to be enjoyed with friends around the table.
Whether you're using them for poker, snap, rummy, solitaire or go fish, we're all accustomed to a card game. But how often have you ever sat and properly looked at a playing card? We all know what they look like, what cards there are and what to do with them, but people are only just realising a hidden detail in one of the cards.
After 72 years of being the same, it has created quite a stir online with no one noticing it before, even though it's there in plain sight, and once you see it, you'll never un-see it. Sharing the photo of an eight of diamonds playing card on X (Twitter), the user named @Rainmaker1973 asked people: "How old were you when you first noticed the "8" in the middle of the 8 of diamonds card?"
To which people have flooded the replies in shock, with one user who commented: "Until this moment when you showed it to me," whilst another said: "ERM today???"

The tweet has amassed over 12.5 million views, 95,000 likes, and hundreds of comments from people all admitting they had never noticed it before. Until the eagle-eyed card player pointed it out, this would have been missed by thousands.
As well as spotting the eight, people are also just realising a hack on their iPhones too. With users noticing there is a 'vampire' setting that's seeing people's phone batteries run down quicker than ever, and many people have no clue.
The setting nicknamed the 'vampire setting' because it drains the life out of your phone is called Wi-Fi Assist, and it involves making sure you always have quick access to the internet, something you may have never realised it does before.
When using the internet with a poor Wi-Fi connection, your phone will automatically switch to Wi-Fi assist, using your mobile data to keep up the speedy connection - but it drains the battery. So if you want to make sure the vampire setting is turned off, all you need to do is select the Mobile Data section on your settings, scroll down to Wi-Fi Assist and you can use the toggle to turn it off.
