A mum has blasted Amazon after a driver labelled her "stupid" in a brutal note they'd left beside parcels.

Kerry Hodge, 28, found the paper and packages dumped behind a wheelie bin beside her home. They'd been abandoned there by the driver as Kerry wasn't in at the time of delivery.

The poorly written note, which barely makes sense, reads: "Behind will bin stupid". The delivery driver, who left it at the address in Runcorn, Cheshire, has since been fired, Amazon confirmed.

Posting photographs on social media of the paper and package in the bin, mum-to-three Kerry said: "What a lovely note to come home to and to see my parcels have been dumped." The post was widely shared on Facebook, with other users slamming the behaviour.

Speaking at the time of the incident, Kerry said: "I was very shocked at first then I was angry as I'm presuming he was calling me stupid. I'm not fully sure why the note was left like this.

"It happened outside my house when the card had been posted as I wasn't in my property at the time of delivery. These items were gifts from a group I'm in on Facebook. I ordered some artificial flowers. And I was gifted items as well from friends in a group."

Writing online, other internet users shared their ire at the driver's antics, the Daily Star reports. "That's not a very nice note," one person shared today. Another posted: "Look at the state of it (the note)."

Responding to the complaint at the time - in August 2020 - Amazon confirmed the driver was not going to deliver on behalf of the firm again.

The statement read: "The delivery associate will no longer be delivering on behalf of Amazon. We have very high standards for our delivery service providers and how they serve customers."
