Les Dennis accidentally announced his Strictly Come Dancing debut over a week ago.
The Coronation Street star was confirmed today as the fifteenth and final contestant taking to the dancefloor. He appeared live on Good Morning Britain today with Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh to announce the exciting news. However, entertainment legend Les, 69, has admitted he actually accidentally leaked he would be on Strictly over a week ago when he tweeted a long playlist he had been meaning to send to bosses of the BBC show, which was titled 'Strictly by Les Dennis'. He confessed to his error this morning, revealing it was his "fat fingers" to blame for the error, which he quickly deleted all trace of.

He had linked to the playlist with 100 or so songs called Strictly by Les Dennis, and captioned it with the letter V, clearly meaning to paste it elsewhere.
During their chat, Les blamed his "fat fingers", quipping: "What happened was, the Strictly producers asked me to send a playlist of songs you might like. I'm totally hopeless with social media and all that so my daughter put it together for me, so I could send it to my agent by email but I must have done a fat finger error and put it on Twitter instead."
Les made the blunder last week!Ranvir and Ben joked about the blunder in a hilarious chat on Good Morning Britain today, where Les revealed he had planned to slow down after his knee operation – but when the opportunity came along and he couldn't pass on it. Speaking about starring on Strictly, Les revealed: "I'm thrilled to be doing this iconic wonderful show as I approach my 70th birthday! In my career I’ve always gone for challenges outside my comfort zone and this is the ultimate one! Can’t wait."

At the time, sources claimed that Les was a great signing for the show and he'd be a hit with viewers.
"The viewers are going to love Les. He is a TV icon and now he will be dancing on one of the most popular shows around. He might be about to turn 70 but he is a showman and he will be great entertainment for those watching at home. There is genuine excitement about Les taking part," an insider said of the TV legend taking to the dancefloor for the 2023 series.
Les is best known for his amazing TV and stage career. He has had roles in the likes of Extras, Brookside, Death in Paradise and Midsomer Murders as well as Corrie. On stage, he has treaded the boards with the likes of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the English National Opera whilst also starring in a string of musicals.
