Hilarious moment driver gets caught on cliff path in popular UK holiday hotspot
The hilarious moment a driver got stuck on a beach path in a popular UK holiday hotspot was caught on camera.
Newquay, Devon, has already seen its fair share of bizarre and odd driving from tourists so far this summer. Even with the weather as it is, one Mercedes SUV got its front wheels buried in the sand, and four Audis got stuck, when deciding to park on the sand - all at the very same beach.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, in their desperate desire to get to the beach as soon as possible, one group left their electric car right on the seafront, only for the tide to come in and catch it at Port Isaac Harbour. But more recently, a driver got caught midway along a cliff path at Wadebridge, in the area.
Surrounded by people out for a walk, the large vehicle makes its way down the very narrow track - used as a path by families, beachgoers, and dog walkers alike. Then at once point, they seemingly realise the error of their ways, and attempt to turn around on the path running alongside a golf course, down to the beach.
Someone joked they were forced to do a '1000 point turn'However, due to the size of the car, and the track, they end up hopelessly blocking the whole path as they shunt back and forth. The video was snapped by the team at Craftworks Kitchen and shows beachgoers look on confused as the vehicle struggles.

Posting the video on Facebook, Craftworks said: "Is this the way to Fistral Beach? Never ever seen this little trip to the beach happen. Driving down the pathway mid Newquay Golf Course."
The person filming says: "Another great parking disaster. Love it." Then speaking to someone he adds. "Ah mate [it's] hilarious. This is one of my favourites." Fortunately the driver was eventually able to get back to where cars should be.
People were generally less than impressed with the rogue bit of driving, with one person joking online they had been forced to do a "1000 point turn". Whilst a number of others made golf jokes - given the proximity to the course. Tagging a friend, one pal said: "It's the best drive up the 13th I've seen". Whilst another person pointed out it was seemingly a four wheel drive car so they should be able to get out of the predicament they found themselves in.
