Fortnite down – server downtime and patch notes for update 25.30
Fortnite will experience downtime today ahead of update 25.30 being rolled out across all platforms.
Fortnite will soon say goodbye to Chapter 4 Season 3, with Season 4 set to launch at the end of this month, but not before a final content update, with update 25.30 dropping today. The last major Fortnite update, update 25.20, introduced a fair amount of new content including weapons, new Reality Augments, a Futurama crossover, bug fixes and a new stuck on connecting screen bug.
The official Fortnite status account has confirmed via a tweet that downtime ahead of update 25.30 will begin on August 8 at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. Matchmaking will be disabled around half an hour before the server downtime begins, so expect to get kicked out of the game at around 12.30am PDT / 3.30am EDT / 8.30am BST.
Fortnite downtime tends to last around four hours ahead of a new content update, so if it's the same story today, you should be able to jump back into the game from around 5am PDT / 8am EDT / 1pm BST. We already know a fair bit about what to expect for Fortnite update 25.30, with Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen set to be the latest anime series crossover in the game, whilst Bender's Fortnite ray gun is set to disappear from the game entirely.
