PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are going to find out what games will be making their way to the subscription later this week.

UPDATE: The PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2023 games have now been revealed.

We've already seen the PS Plus Essential August 2023 games release last week, bringing us the incredible indie darling Death's Door, endless replayability with Dreams and some good old Golf with PGA Tour 2K23. Those games are available now means it's time to look forward to the PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2023 games. Luckily we won't have to wait long to find out what's coming for PS4 and PS5 as the reveal is set for later this week.

Our PS Plus August 2023 Extra and Premium predictions are that we'll see some more Twisted Metal games join the PS Plus Classic games list to celebrate the recent launch of the Twisted Metal TV series. We're also expecting to see something from Sega, maybe a Sonic the Hedgehog or Like a Dragon title.

PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2023 reveal time

The PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2023 games will be revealed on Wednesday, August 9 at 4.30pm BST / 11:30am EDT / 8:30am PDT via a post on the PlayStation Blog. Barring any delays (which are extremely rare, and Sony would typically announce ahead of time), the PS Plus Extra and Premium Games have always been revealed the Wednesday following the release of the PS Plus Essential titles.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium games are always announced alongside each other, so we'll find out everything being added to the Game Catalogue and Classics Catalogue at the same time. These will then be released at the same time the following Tuesday – which for this month is Tuesday, August 15 at 10am BST / 5am EDT / 2am PDT. Unlike the PS Plus Essential titles which disappear after a month on the service, the PS Plus Extra and Premium games will remain available for the foreseeable future.

the PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2023 titles included the award-winning co-op title It Takes Two, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, Melty Blood: Type Lumina (which was featured at EVO this past weekend), as well as Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2 joining the Classics Catalogue. Extra and Premium subscribers also have access to the PS Plus Essential games – Death's Door, Dreams, and PGA Tour 2K23 – which will be available to download until Tuesday, September 5.
