Beyonce forked out $100,000 (£78,500) to help fans stranded at her concert after severe weather forced her to delay performing for almost two hours, according to reports.

The 41-year-old singer used the huge sum of money to keep Metro train lines in Washington, D.C. running after she took to the stage at FedExField as part of her Renaissance World Tour. Beyonce had been forced to postpone her show after a shelter in place order was issued due to severe weather.

Following her show, Beyonce made sure concertgoers could get home safely. She used the $100,000 to provide fans with an extra hour of train services.

The Crazy in Love hitmaker paid for 98 stations to remain open for customers to exit. She also used her money to keep the Morgan Boulevard station open for customers to enter, according to ABC7.

Fans praised the singer for helping fans who could have otherwise been stranded. Posting on Twitter, one person said: "@Beyonce is a queen who cares for her fans. She paid 100k to keep the trains running after a storm delayed her show. She didn’t want anyone to miss her amazing performance or get stranded in the city. Beyonce, you are the best!"

Beyonce's kind gesture comes after it was revealed the singer has a rather unusual tradition for her live shows. The singer reportedly pays thousands to fly her own toilet seats around the world so she doesn't have to sit on one used by someone else.

A picture shared from backstage at one of her concerts shows a container with the label "toilet seats". It's thought the box is part of Beyonce's "luggage haul".

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "[She's] such an elite performer she can literally request anything." They further added: "Her team makes great effort to ensure she has her own comforts and a personal toilet seat happens to be one."
