Amazon's Fire TV can now transform into art displays, and it's hundreds of pounds cheaper than rival products

Amazon has added a picture-perfect new feature to its Fire TV Omni series – the custom-designed 4K TVs that launched in the UK earlier this year, powered by the same FireOS software as Amazon's Fire TV Stick range.

For the first time, a new range of art collections is available on all Fire TV Omni QLED sets, so anyone can switch on their TV and set it as a decorative background, wallpaper, or art gallery for their room.

If that sounds familiar, Samsung has a similar option with its (much pricier) The Frame TV, which is designed to look like a framed artwork whenever the screen is not in-use.

The only difference? The Fire TV Omni series sells at a price that The Frame by Samsung cannot match.

Of course, to get the artwork users will need a Fire TV Omni QLED Series to get started and despite their average £300 starting price, they are a whole lot cheaper than Amazon's biggest Samsung rival - The 65-inch Frame would set shoppers back £1,599.

The similar Fire TV 65-inch Omni QLED Series is £900 cheaper, at £679.99 the only feature shoppers would miss out on here compared to over at Samsung is its frame-like design, which the Galaxy brand pulls off.

To activate the new artwork on the Amazon brand all users have to do is make sure their TV is running on the latest software and ask Alexa to 'go to Ambient gallery'. From here click on the Dynamic Art background tile to enable it, after this, it'll appear with any movement in the room.

Of course, its newly added art feature is not the only talked-about feature the TVs have to offer, as they've already created a name for themselves when it comes to display quality.

Amazon's Omni QLED range offer high quality 4K HDR which is the key to making series, films and any coverage appear brighter.
