This Morning's Josie Gibson 'morphing into Holly Willoughby' after glam makeover
Josie Gibson appears to be quietly morphing into co-host Holly Willoughby as she steps up to present This Morning.
The 38-year-old TV star is holding the fort while Holly takes her usual summer break from the ITV show. And it looks like Josie has upped the glamour stakes in recent weeks in a bid to be more like Holly. Usually, Josie takes on the role of the joker on the show and is the person who gets sent out on crazy challenges around the country, much to the delight of viewers who have warmed to her down-to-earth style and strong Bristolian accent.
But as her presenting duties have gone up a notch, so has Josie’s style in the studio and she has swapped her previous casual attire for chic midi dresses or smart skirts and tops, which she now pairs with high heels. In another indicator she wants to be more like Holly, Josie has also started posting about her outfits on Instagram to let This Morning fans know where they can buy the same outfits – just like Holly does every day when she is working.

The TV star is looking better than ever (Instagram)Just last week – before heading off to Wilderness Festival for the weekend – Josie posted snaps of herself wearing a shirt and pencil skirt. Her make-up looks these days have also been given a glow-up. She told her 439,000 Instagram followers: “Heading straight to @wildernesshq now but a quick reminder me and @craigdoyle are back Monday at 10am on @thismorning. Thank you for tuning in, I’ve had a scream!!!”
Josie then went on to add: “Top is @reiss, skirt is @ohpolly, shoes are @zara for those asking. Styled by the super talented @rachaelhughesstyle @mauriceflynn @makeupbymikey. See you soon.” Holly will be back on the This Morning sofa in September and it is thought Josie will be a more regular face in the studio then following the ITV fallout with former host Phillip Schofield over his affair scandal.

Now Josie has started to do the same (Instagram)But, until then, Holly looked to be enjoying her time off as she was pictured taking a dip in the sea on a family holiday in the Algarve in Portugal. The 42-year-old stunned in a high-cut black swimsuit she then covered up with a sarong. The mum-of-three – who is reportedly signing a new contract with This Morning, increasing her £700k salary – has not spoken publicly about taking leave from the show after a rather unceremonious final programme last month.
When Phillip was on the show, he and Holly would usually sign off with a little goodbye message. But this summer, Holly appears to have taken her leave without any fanfare, perhaps not surprising after all the drama surrounding the programme. Co-host Josie is certainly winning over the public with her warm presenting style in Holly’s absence, which has led some fans to call for Josie to be in the studio full-time. One said: “Loving Josie and Craig on This Morning, they should be on all the time.” Another added: “Love you and Craig on This Morning. So glad it’s you two! Perfect duo.”
