Prince Harry seems to be going off the idea of moving to Malibu with his wife Meghan Markle, despite her plans to become a "Hollywood power player".

The couple were said to be planning a move to the area so the Duchess of Sussex could be close to her new talent agency William Morris Endeavour. She's reportedly looking to expand her media profile as a producer and content creator.

Meghan and Harry live in a $14.6million (£11.8million) mansion in Montecito, but a move to Malibu would take them closer to central Los Angeles. Trips from their current home to LA can take more than three hours. From Malibu, the city is less than an hour a way.

However, a source has claimed Harry has "no interest" in moving to Malibu. They also said it would be far to expensive to buy a new place and keep their Montecito mansion.

"There's no way they can afford both Montecito and tourist-packed Malibu, which is of absolutely no interest to Harry. They looked at the area when they first moved to the US and he wasn't a fan," the sourse said.

Harry is said to be up for "visiting" Malibu, but the source said there are "too many tourists and beach bums" for him to want to move there permanently. They revealed there would be just one reason for Harry to agree to the move.

Speaking to Woman's Day magazine, the source said Harry would move to the city if it benefitted his two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. They added: "Homeschooling may be the norm for many high earners in the state, but Malibu's schools are popular with celebrity parents."

The comments come amid reports Meghan has set up an office in a hotel suite across from her talent agency. Showbiz correspondent Kinsey Schofield told GB News: "One of the rumours is that Meghan has set up shop in a hotel suite across from her agency William Morris Endeavour and that she has her eyes set on bigger opportunities.

"She wants to be a power player in Hollywood." Meghan signed with William Morris Endeavour earlier this year. The company has also represented stars such as Adele, Serena Williams and Dwayne Johnson.
