A nineties pop star who topped the chart nearly 30 years after the release of her smash hit song has now wowed fans as she appeared not to have aged at all now she's 53.
Singer Whigfield, who is best known for her hit song 'Saturday Night', looked sensational as she showed off her toned and slim figure in a black bikini. The star enjoyed a holiday in Italy and posed for selfies around the pool in the sunshine.
Whigfield, whose real name is Sannie Charlotte Carlson, rose to fame in 1993 with her hit song Saturday Night. The catchy pop track reached the top 10 in a number of different countries the following year, including holding the top spot in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany and Switzerland.

On one bikini snap, one fan commented: "Looking absolutely gorgeous my darling xxx." Another wrote: "Too beautiful for words." A third added: "More beautiful every day."
The Danish singer continues to perform and appears at festivals and live shows across Europe still, proving she's no one-hit wonder. In 2019, the fresh-faced blonde singer appeared on ITV's Lorraine where she revealed a healthy lifestyle is the secret to her ageless appearance.

Now living on the outskirts of Milan, Whigfield has also revealed that she prefers the quiet life to the hedonistic party-girl lifestyle she had in the 90s: "In the old days I was just so busy. I was sometimes promoting three singles at the same time. It was mad. Now I stop and smell the roses."
Whilst the pop hit Saturday Night might have made Whigfield a household name, fans will now catch her performing house music and on the club scene instead: "I’ve been doing house music for the past three years. I’ve been writing music for other DJS," she told fans.
She hasn't forgotten the success her 90s hit gave her either, but has revealed that she wishes she'd been more "prepared" for the overnight success her song became. She told 9Honey: "I wish someone would have prepared you for these things, because you're kind of just pushed out into the whole thing. You need a strong personality and I think you have to be sure of what you're doing. Because I love being on stage - I really enjoy it sincerely and I love the audience."
