Jake Paul and Nate Diaz were exchanging words for the entirety of their boxing fight.
YouTube boxer Paul dropped Diaz on the way to a one-sided points win against him when they fought at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Saturday night. Paul was fighting for the first time since his loss to Tommy Fury in February and he got the nod with scores of 97-92, 98-91 and 98-91 after 10 rounds.
The rivals had a heated build-up to the fight as a brawl broke out on stage between their security teams during fight week. Tensions were high on fight night but Paul and Diaz were able to put their rivalry aside after the final bell as they shook hands and spoke highly of each other. That wasn't the case during the fight as they were both bad-mouthing each other during the rounds.

"We were talking to each other the whole fight," Paul said. "He was saying words that I can't repeat here but I was like 'Man, where's all that talk now? Boom, gotcha! Shut up.' It was fun, when you are in there with another dog you can sense it and it just makes the sport more fun, this fight was probably the most memorable one yet.

Diaz didn't into specifics when discussing the mid-fight trash-talk as he said: "I was just making fun of him, telling him to do more s***." The UFC legend has already accepted Paul's MMA rematch proposal as the pair look set to fight again but this time in a cage instead of a ring. Diaz explained where he went wrong in the fight and the mistakes he would correct for the rematch.

I was too concerned with getting bigger. I didn't think he was much bigger than me, whilst I was training for the fight I thought he was bigger than that," Diaz added.
"Richard got mad at me because I wasn't fighting how I should have fought, I should have been throwing more punches and keeping him on the outside. Not that I'm trying to make excuses but around a month back when I was trying to stay back, I hurt my arm a little bit and it was wear and tearing on my right arm whenever I would jab."
