Love Island star George Fensom hints at blossoming romance with fellow islander

Love Island star George Fensom has hinted at a potential romance with a fellow contestant after he became the first islander of the 2023 summer series to be booted from the famous villa. George, 24, failed to make any meaningful connections with any of the girls in the Love Island villa, but it appears that love could well be on the cards for the reality TV star on the outside.

After previously admitting to The Mirror that fellow contestant Leah Taylor, 27, is his 'dream girl', it seems that George's eyes may have wandered to another islander as rumours circulate that he and Abi Moores have been in contact since she was axed from the villa with Mitch Taylor.

Abi initially entered the show during Casa Amor week, where she struck up a romance with Mitchel, 26, who was later renamed 'Messy Mitch' by his fellow islanders. Mitchel then began flirting with new bombshell Ella Barnes, which left his romance with Abi in trouble.

Although they seemed perfect for one another, after a couple of days being back in the main villa, things began to dwindle between Mitchel and Abi before they finally called it quits and began to pursue their respective romances with Ella B and Scott van-der-Sluis, 22.

Abi and Scott were dumped from the Love Island villa just days before the final and during their appearance on Aftersun with host Maya Jama, the semi-professional footballer told the audience that he and Abi were 'just friends' and that their romantic connection had faded after being dumped from the villa.

Although Abi failed to find love with Mitch and Scott, it seems that she and George have now struck up a strong connection outside of the villa as George has teased a potential romance between the two. During a recent Instagram Q&A, one fan asked George: “What do you think of Abi?” The reality star enthusiastically replied: “She messaged me before she went in, she’s a nice girl to be honest. Defo deserved better in the villa. Good looking too.”

Business development executive George has been busy getting back to normal life, but since leaving the show, he had his eyes firmly set on one contestant who he described as 'wifey' material. Although George failed to make a connection with Jess while on the show, with the pair cementing a close friendship instead, last month, he revealed the girl of his dreams entered the villa - but it was sadly after he had left.

If George was still in the villa, he told us that he would be grafting hard for none other than Leah Taylor - who he admitted holds all the attributes he was searching for when entering the show. "From the second that Leah walked into the villa, I thought she was really attractive and I still do obviously. After watching the show, I realise that I really like the way she handles herself. I think she's really polite and really sweet and she's someone who I would consider as 'wifey material'. I would have happily have chosen Leah," George gushed. "But it's really nice to see that her and Montel are getting on so well."

George previously admitted that went on the show to find his future wife, but has loved the experience despite being the first contestant to be booted from the show. Taking to his Instagram stories last month after he was dumped from the villa, George joked: "Left the villa too soon, but do you know what I was obviously too leng. But yeah obviously appreciate all the support, thank you for all the messages and yeah, just give me a couple of days just to sort my bits out and I will get replying and we will talk about plans moving forward. Bosh."
