Nate Diaz uses homophobic slur during face-off with Jake Paul ahead of fight

Nate Diaz branded Jake Paul "a gay guy" as their final press conference descended into a slanging match.

UFC legend Diaz will take on YouTube boxer Paul in Texas on Saturday night after months of build-up. And they came together for the penultimate time before the first bell on Thursday.

A riled-up Paul attempted to bait his rival into trading verbal jabs but Diaz, for the most part, remained a man of few words. But asked who the 'good guy' and the 'bad guy' is in the fight, Diaz said: "Jake's the gay guy". His rival responded: "Yes sir, I'm going to grab your cheeks in the ring on Saturday night. Everybody look out, I'm grabbing his cheeks."

Paul, who lost to Tommy Fury in February, insisted he will return with a bang this weekend. "I'm going to bully the bully; this little guy you love so much is going to be dead on Saturday night, I'm gong to finish his career," said Paul. "I'm bullying the bully, is he f***ing dumb? This motherf***** can't even speak. I'm going to weather the storm and knock him out. He's never been hit by someone like me."

Paul also reiterated his offer of a second fight with Diaz, this time in the MMA cage. Paul signed a deal with PFL earlier this year and expects to make his debut next year. "Can you accept my offer to fight in MMA? No, you're acting like a b**** still," he said.
