When you're getting married, one of the biggest decisions you'll make is what you're going to wear. You might spends months searching for the 'perfect' dress that will make you feel like a princess - and then try to keep it secret from your other half until the big day. And when it doesn't all go to plan it can feel devastating.
One bride-to-be was distraught after claiming her friend had "ruined" her wedding by wearing the dress she was planning to wear to a masquerade - and posting a picture of it online. However, the friend didn't think she'd done anything wrong and said it had been an innocent mistake.
Taking to Reddit, the 28-year-old woman explained that she and her husband had gone to an event, and she had worn a "beautiful dress off Amazon". She didn't post pictures of the dress on social media, but before going she had sent a few pictures in a group chat with her friends to ask for advice on how to have her hair. One of those friends, who she gave the fake name Laura, had told her it was "really pretty" and asked for the link to it.
The friend sent the link to the dress (pictured) to her friend, but she didn't know what she was using it for (Amazon)In the post, she explained: "I gave it to her but was unaware of what she was doing with it as it was not my business to ask. Fast forwards to a few days after the event and I had posted the pictures from it. I was super happy finally being able to share them, [as] that night was super special for me.
"Laura ends up messaging me going off about the pictures I had posted. She apparently was using the dress for her wedding dress and her fiancé, who I was also friends with, seen it. She tells me I'm the a**hole for even wearing the dress after I knew she was interested it and should have just bought another one.

"She proceeds to dig into me, calling me a wedding wrecker and tells me I ruined her wedding and her relationship. Her fiancé argued with her saying I did nothing wrong since I wasn’t aware she was using it as a wedding dress. Laura claims she cannot get another dress in time for her wedding in three years and she can't get her money back. She didn't even know the dress existed until I posted in the group chat asking what to do with my hair. It was already bought before anyone seen it."
The comment section was flooded with support for the friend, who said the bride was in the wrong. One person said: "In three years no one is going to remember your dress. This isn't your fault or problem."
Another added: "In three years? She's definitely out of line and not in the right. You had no way of knowing and was nice enough to send her the link."
A third commented: "I believe this post is real for sure, but I don't believe there is any way you believe you could be the a**hole either. Is this really something people get that upset about?" The woman replied, saying: "I didn't think so either [to be honest]. But I had a few people tell me I should have picked another dress too after I knew she was interested. But I had already bought it. I didn't post any pictures of the dress until after the event. She was a friend In the group of friends I had showed."
