Love Island's reunion date confirmed ahead of couple getting crowned winners

Love Island is coming to an end after weeks of grafting, arguing, and bonding. On Monday night, one of the couples will be crowned the lucky winner of this summer's series.

With so much happening throughout the series, many are looking forward to the reunion where the contestants get together to discuss everything about their experience on Love Island.

The stars, including Whitney and Lochan, Sammy and Jess, Zach and Molly and Tyrique and Ella, will only have a few days in the real world before the reunion will air.

Fans won't have long to wait as the reunion episode will be airing on Sunday, August 6.

As with every reunion special, it will be filled with drama and confessions as the stars open up about what really happened in the Spanish villa. They will also discuss their new lives outside the villas and whether their relationships survived the first few days after jetting back to the UK.

Meanwhile, viewers are voting and waiting to see who is crowned the winner on Monday night. It comes after Mitchell and Ella B were dumped from the show after receiving the least amount of public votes. Mirror have contacted ITV for comment.

It comes as it was reported that the winter version of the show was axed for the second time due to low ratings. According to sources, the show will be replaced with a special All-Stars edition next winter.

The summer series will continue to air while January's winter edition will reportedly get a revamp. Instead of a new batch of singles looking for love, it will be some familiar faces trying their luck again.

This is the second time in the show's history that the winter show has been axed, with the first series airing in 2020 and the second in 2023, after a three-year break. It's claimed the show will be dropped once again this winter, while it's not confirmed if it will return in 2025.

ITV have not confirmed the news to The Mirror, but they did tell us Love Island "returns to ITV2 and ITVX in 2024". It means viewers wanting to see a new cast will have to wait until next summer, with the series thought to be going ahead as planned.

Meanwhile, the Winter All Stars edition is said to be in the process of signing up stars, while the location could be the villa in South Africa like the usual winter edition. Names could include Maura Higgins, Megan Barton-Hanson and Georgia Steel.
