Molly-Mae hides huge diamond ring as she fears 'showing off' after engagement
Molly-Mae Hague hid her huge engagement ring in her latest vlog as she admits she “doesn’t know how to act” now she’s a fiancée.
The 24-year-old star got engaged in Ibiza after long-term boyfriend Tommy Fury finally popped the question in a stunning proposal last week. In a sweet video the Love Island stars shared on social media afterwards, Tommy asked Molly-Mae to marry him on an Ibizan clifftop decorated with thousands of white roses.
As Molly-Mae walked towards him dressed in a white jumpsuit, he handed her their six-month-old daughter Bambi before getting down on one knee, prompting his wife-to-be to burst into tears of joy. Since then fans have been able to see the engagement ring up close in some of Molly-Mae’s posts on Instagram. But she came over all shy in her latest YouTube vlog and tried to hide the ring behind her head as she addressed fans.
Posting a ‘day in the life’ video to her channel, she told her 1.8 million subscribers: “I should have probably thought about maybe reapplying some lip product before coming on camera, but I just couldn’t bring you guys this vlog – which was recorded before everything went down – and not come on and say, ‘Hi’. Not come on and say, ‘I’m a fiancée."

Cringing at herself, the 24-year-old revealed: “Not to not address the elephant in the room...I don’t know how to act. It doesn’t feel right seeing that [the ring on camera]. I’m just going to keep the hand behind, because I am going to do a Q&A about the engagement, but it’s going to come after this video.
“This vlog was recorded a couple of days before we left for Ibiza and what you’re going to see is an extremely real – I hate to be like ‘I’m so real’ – but it’s a very realistic day in my life. I’m still going to put it out to you because it’s absolutely comedy gold.”
Tommy and Molly-Mae's daughter Bambi was involved in the sweet proposal (Instagram)Revealing she had no idea Tommy was going to propose before their impromptu trip, Molly-Mae continued: “Some of the comments you guys are going to pick up on me saying about why we’re going to Ibiza, me stressing about packing because it was such a last-minute trip, what I think I’m going to Ibiza for – I can’t begin to explain how much I was fooled. I fully thought we were going for something completely different.”
Following the birth of their daughter Bambi in January this year, many fans have been wondering when Tommy – who is Tyson Fury's little brother – would ask Molly-Mae to be his wife.
“I’ve had it in the ear for the past two years, I think," he admitted in May. “My actual plan was to do a lot sooner but obviously, being a boxer, when you’re in a training camp you’ve got to completely shut yourself off, you want to just focus on the fight, so I can’t be going in and everywhere proposing.“
The pair met on series five of Love Island back in 2019 where they finished runners-up, but have since gone on to become one of the ITV show’s most successful couples ever.
