Mauricio Pochettino has urged Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to splash the cash as his overhaul of the Blues squad continues.

Pochettino has overseen a vast number of outgoings already this summer, as well as bringing in four new faces. But the Argentine is keen to go even further, with Axel Disasi set to arrive from Monaco after the two clubs agreed a fee over the weekend.

That signing would take Chelsea's spending past the £60m mark, a summer after they were the biggest spenders in the Premier League. But Pochettino believes they need to go even further, demanding experienced reinforcements at centre-back and in midfield.

"With [Wesley] Fofana's injury, I think it is obvious that maybe we need to reinforce this area. It is clear. Also with midfield, if you add a 19-year-old is that okay? I think you're still talking about, we need experience in midfield," he said after Sunday's win over Fulham.

"I have the information you have. My information is a player that is from France that maybe they sign with the idea to send on loan. The information was already on your laptop. If I say numbers I can create a problem.

"For me it's important, the club is working really hard to improve all of the areas, the right profiles to make the squad strong. The club is working really hard to find the right profile."

Goals from Christopher Nkunku and Thiago Silva secured the win over the Cottagers for Pochettino's men. Nkunku arrived this summer, having been bought in January from RB Leipzig, with the attacker forming a close partnership with fellow arrival Nicolas Jackson.

Despite that fledging partnership in attack, Pochettino still believes he needs reinforcements in that area of the pitch. And he is keen to bring in those targets before the start of the Premier League in less than a fortnight.

"Today we were happy with the performance and they can complement very well. Yes, of course, maybe we can add some different profile or different player who can help us, of course, we are open," he added.

"I am so happy with both and we have younger players like Mason (Burstow) and (Armando) Broja in the UK recovering from his procedure. We need to analyse now in the next weeks until the transfer window closes. We will take the best decision for the team.

"We are working hard to try to create this dynamic that will become natural and to share time together. I think the two help to know each other. It is good that they feel well, that they feel already part of the team and the group and they share a lot of time together.

"It is important because you need to start the Premier League in a good condition knowing each other and try to fight for each other to create a real-time that is prepared to go and face opponents like Liverpool, Man City and different teams like this."
