We all know that Swifties have an awful lot of power when it comes to supporting their idol. After all, do you remember when the Anti-Hero singer released eight seconds of static noise that saw her top the charts in Canada?
But now the sheer power of Swifties' has been proved again, and in an even greater force, because Taylor's fans are said to have activity equivalent to a minor earthquake. Yes, really!

And with the crowds in the stands going wild, seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach has now revealed that the dedicated Swifties caused a seismic activity equivalent of a 2.3 magnitude earthquake. The expert, who is a professor at Western Washington University, revealed the shocking discovery to CNN yesterday.

Referring to the occurrence as a "Swift Quake", the professor compared it to the 2011 "Beast Quake", which saw Seattle Seahawks fans going wild after Marshawn Lynch made a touchdown during the NFC Wild Card game. She added that the Swift Quake even beat the Beast Quake, with her revealing: "The shaking was twice as strong as Beast Quake. It absolutely doubled it."

She said: "The music, the speakers, the beat. All that energy can drive into the ground and shake it."
Reacting to the news on Twitter, fans went wild once again, with one person writing: "There is quite literally no other artist that could come even CLOSE to something like this." A second then added: "We made her too powerful and now she’s creating natural disasters."
"Being a Swiftie makes me a proud person because you’re telling me I can cause an earthquake?" asked a third. While a fourth said: "I’m not a fan whatsoever but I cannot lie and say I don’t admire this woman’s impact on pop culture. She is insanely powerful, who the hell else has gotten a holiday, a key to a city, and essentially causes an EARTHQUAKE?"
Meanwhile, another fan offered an insight into why it happened when they penned: "Okay, so i was in Seattle last month and my tour guide explained this, it happened with Beyoncé too. The way the stadium is shaped with the roof, when there is extreme volume the sound waves can create an earthquake in the surrounding area."
