A fashion influencer has died of a mystery illness just days after going into hospital leaving her family and followers devastated. Guatemalan content creator Yuriby Gómez, 23, passed away on July 26.
She regularly posted fashion content and helped to promote her celebrity aunt’s beauty salon, Keigi, along with other brands. Her aunt – Guatemalan model and influencer, Kimberly Flores – paid tribute to her niece on Instagram with her own 2.5 million followers.
“I can't cope with so much pain,” the post read. “We were always together in a single heartbeat, my love. You had so many dreams.” The model also shared a photo of herself posing with Gómez during her wedding four years ago.

Flores’ husband, Mexican singer, Edwin Luna, also sent his condolences to Gómez’s grieving relatives. Luna wrote: “May the whole family find comfort in shared memories and in the love that will always be present. RIP Yuriby Gómez.”

The cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Relatives appealed for blood donors just prior to the influencer’s passing, adding that she was going through “health problems”.
