EastEnders fans 'rumble' Christmas victim after concerns over Stacey stalker

EastEnders fans think they have rumbled who the Christmas murder victim will be on the hit BBC One soap.

Soap fans will recall that Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has been accepting special requests from her private client on her subscription account in order to get money.

However, Stacey has no clue that the client is in fact Theo (William Ellis), who is an old teacher of Stacey's relative Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), and he has been secretly stalking her.

While earlier this year, EastEnders released a first look at the 2023 Christmas episode in a flashforward scene in a BBC One soap first where Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) were faced with a dead body.

In the moments that unfolded at the Queen Vic, the group of women all stood round in shock in a festive-looking pub and looked down at a man, wearing amber cufflinks, lying dead on the floor.

Not much was said between the group, but Stacey was covered in blood, Denise was holding a smashed bottle of Champagne and Sharon wore a bloodied wedding dress as she leant over the body.

Ever since the scenes aired, eagle-eyed soap fans have been looking for clues as to who the dead body could be and viewers now think they've cracked it.

Thanks to Stacey's stalking storyline, fans are convinced that stalker Theo will be involved but rather than it be his dead body, viewers think he could kill Stacey's on-off partner Martin Fowler.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Theo is going to try and kill Martin. Or actually kill him. THEY CANT KILL MARTIN, CAN THEY? I object!!!!! #EastEnders."

A different account put: "Theo gonna be planning to kill martin #EastEnders" while another viewer wrote: "So Theo's going to kill Martin to get Stacey isn't he! Can we just have ONE happy couple #EastEnders."

Elsewhere, one fan put: "Theo’s going to try to kill Martin at some point i guarantee #Eastenders."

While a different account added: "If we finally get Martin and Stacey back together just for crazy Theo to kill him at Christmas I’ll be raging #EastEnders."

It comes as EastEnders looks set for nail-biting scenes next week as Stacey and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) hatch a plan to trap her stalker.

Stacey, who has been left horrified that her client knows details about her private life and where she lives, hatches a plan to lure her stalker to No.31 after she receives lingerie from him at the bap van.

However, her plan is interrupted when Martin (James Bye) finds Stacey hiding outside the house and their conversation soon turns sour.
