Alison Hammond and Dermot floor fans with This Morning break announcement
Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary announced Friday will be their last This Morning show before their summer break.
Speaking on Friday's show, Dermot, 50, was left excited as he learnt that the ITV chat show would be rustling up a fry up and a segment about best drinks for a takeaway.
The presenter joked: "Is it my birthday today?" while Alison, 48, added: "And you're finishing early! It is your birthday, I did all this just for you Dermot O'Leary because it's our last day together, isn't it, then we've got our summer off. I'm excited!"
To which Dermot, 50, added: "Our summer break! Thank you, this is like a dream show for me!"
This Morning fans will recall that the ITV chat show's regular hosts always take a summer break with Holly Willoughby finishing earlier this month.

It comes as a huge former This Morning star is said to be in talks to return to the famous blue sofa following Phillip Schofield's exit.
Phil, 61, stepped down from his role as host of the mid-morning ITV show earlier this year. He had been presenting alongside Holly, 42, for decades but decided to step down when he admitted to having an "unwise" but not "illegal" affair with a younger male colleague. He subsequently also stepped down from ITV.
Sources have now claimed that former host Ruth Langsford - who regularly fronts the channel's show Loose Women - could be heading back to the famous blue sofa after over a year. She had regularly hosted alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes but the pair were eventually replaced on Friday shows by hosts Alison and Dermot.

A source told Bella Magazine: "The idea is that the show is desperate to reassure viewers that it's a family operation and the more familiar faces there are the better - and whenever they've done market research, Ruth has always come up as a firm favourite."
The Mirror contacted a spokesperson for This Morning and ITV for comment.
Back in 2021, The Mirror revealed that Eamonn and Ruth were "blindsided" at being replaced on the blue sofa, as well as "furious and upset" about the axe, but they returned the year later to cover the summer break.
Ruth said: "We’ve hosted so many This Morning summers now and we always look forward to it. They are always a lot of fun the summer weeks, it has a slightly different vibe to it than the rest of the year.
Phillip Schofield swears on This Morning as he fumes over show shake-up
"People are often tuning in on their own holidays so we look forward to hearing where people are and they send us messages about what they are doing for the summer. We’ve been doing this since Jack was really little."
Eamonn also added: "Well it’s the only time we really get to see each other properly, so yes! We both have very busy lives so it’s actually quite an unusual thing to spend so much time together. So yes, that’s got to be a good thing!"
This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVX.
