Emmerdale Jai's mum Georgia arrives and fans recognise her from another soap
Emmerdale fans were left stunned by the arrival of Jai's mum Georgia - as viewers recognised her from another huge soap.
Georgia made her appearance on the ITV soap this evening, where she immediately confronted Jai over why she wasn't invited to the wedding but Rishi had been, despite both of them lying about the identity of Jai's real father.
As she stepped out of the taxi and into the Dales this evening, Georgia was quick to confront her son.
"Get back in that taxi," he ordered her but she refused, telling him: "I was expecting that response. I’m going nowhere until this whole debacle has been sorted. Why am I not invited? Rishi tells me he is."
Jai replied back: "So what you just show up here and try to muscle your way in?" as she fired back in response, fuming with him and his comments: "You’re my son. I shouldn’t have to muscle my way into anything."

She was best known for playing Pam Coker in EastEnders (BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)Jai then told her he had invited his father because of the kids' sake and that she wasn’t welcome.
As Jai accused her of keeping secrets, Georgia was quick to tell him: "Get that out of your head. The only thing we ever wanted was for you to have a happy childhood. You’re our son. Nothing else really matters."
He left her standing there, Georgia heartbroken that she couldn’t see them getting married. Laurel promised she would sort it, and told her she’d make things work so they could all be together on their big day.
The character of Georgia Sharma was originally played by Trudie Goodwin with Lin Blakley now taking on the role. Lin is best known by fans for her role as Pam Coker in rival BBC One soap EastEnders.
Producer Kate Brooks teased: "We're thrilled to have an actor of Lin's calibre step into the role of the formidable Georgia. A force to be reckoned with, she'll have a secret for the Sharmas that could potentially blow their world apart."
Actress Lin added: "How lucky am I to play such a strong character as Georgia. So different from roles I’ve played of late. I have enjoyed every single minute. Gorgeous cast and crew!! And the gorgeous Dales. Thank you Emmerdale."
