Stefon Diggs has reassured fans and teammates alike in confirming that he has no issue with quarterback Josh Allen after a tough end to the season.

The Buffalo Bills star wide receiver was caught on camera shouting and making a gesture at Allen during their playoff defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals. Diggs had been noticeably frustrated at not being targeted on a number of key offensive plays and was held to just four catches for 35 yards in a disappointing loss to end their season.

The 29-year-old then missed the first day of the team’s mandatory minicamp practice earlier this off-season with the team expressing their concern. But after returning to the team in their first day of training camp on Wednesday, Diggs stated that they have no beef.

He told reporters: "Me and him never didn’t get along … that’s my guy."

Head coach Sean McDermott doubled down on that statement. He said: "We're in a good spot (with Diggs).

"Stef is ready to practice. He is in the locker room right now. We’re in a good spot. As far as the team is concerned, we have a lot of work to do. I think that’s really our focus and it should be our focus. About the team and making sure we’re putting the work out here that we need to put in."

The wide receiver has built up somewhat of a reputation over the years of being a feisty character, and would have done himself little favours in the loss to the Bengals.

But Allen himself played down the drama earlier this off-season, knowing his star receiver will be back with the team and that they'd have no issues.

"I love him. That’s my guy," Allen said of Diggs on Bussin With the Boys. "The media has blown this so far out of proportion . We are in a minicamp. We’re not playing a game for four months.

"He doesn’t show up for one day, he’s still there, coach asked him to go home, they’re in talks, they’re trying to resolve some things. They’re still talking about it. Let it go. There’s no reason to continue talking about it."

The Bills will be among the Super Bowl favourites once again heading into the season, after a strong draft class with tight end Dalton Kincaid set to be a huge target for Allen to throw to.
