Nick Nairn has condemned a recent alleged incident of vandalism of his new restaurant, calling the apparent act 'mindless' and 'disgusting.'

The Scottish celebrity chef took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a video of damage done to his Bridge of Allan eatery, which has been recently renovated ahead of its reopening on July 28th.

"If life wasn't hard enough!", Nick captioned the clip, which showed pots knocked over onto the patio of the restaurant's terrace.

The alleged act of vandalism comes two years after the restaurant was struck by a devastating blaze that was believed to be caused by a malfunctioning fryer. Fortunately, nobody was harmed, but the damage of the inferno did forced Nick to shut his beloved eatery's doors to begin its lengthy restoration.

"We've been working flat out to get Nairn's ready for re-opening after the fire," the 64-year-old tells viewers in the short video. "Yesterday, we've installed these beautiful outdoor planters. This is what we've come into this morning. So...well done, you mindless, disgusting...I don't have words for it."

His outrage resonated with his online followers, many of whom tweeted their sympathies beneath the video.

"Sorry you gave to deal with this. Karma will catch up with the perpetrators," one person wrote, while another said, "They have NO respect for anything."

Others shared tips on safeguarding from vandalism, offering potential practical solutions that could prevent another attack. "I know you shouldn't have to buy can you not screw them down or build a little long fixed box instead that can't be pushed off? Sad to see either way," one follower suggested.

Nick confirmed at the end of the video that CCTV was installed at the property, before adding, "So whoever did this, we will have your image."

The award-winning cook updated his followers on the story on Tuesday, revealing that the plants had been repaired by kind supporters who had seen his original video. "My fate in human nature has been restored," he said, before revealing his plans to review the CCTV footage in the hope of identifying the alleged vandals.

Nick has also revealed that he and his wife, Jools, have decided to name the restaurant 'Nairn's', to reflect the joint effort of both parties in the project.

The British cuisine establishment, which is situated on Henderson St in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, will offer customers a daily-changing menu of dishes inspired by local produce when it reopens on Friday.

The restaurant will also have a strong emphasis on seafood, with plates like monkfish cheek scampi with tartare sauce and tandoori spiced monkfish fillet with Indian mussel broth just two examples of what Nick's talented kitchen crew will be serving up.
