Ryan Gosling caught in extremely awkward red carpet moment with Barbie co-star
Ryan Gosling suffered a rather embarrassing moment on the red carpet as he tried to brush off his Barbie co-star Simu Liu.
In a now-viral video, the pair were spotted posing for pictures on the red carpet and they were all smiles before things got a little embarrassing when Simu put his arm around Ryan's waist.
The Notebook star, 42, didn't appear to pleased by the gesture as he looked down at Simu's arm and tried to reposition himself. Simu, 34, laughed and pulled his arm away.
The pair had a brief chat in which Simu joked Ryan found the gesture "too tender" before they both decided to pose for the rest of the pictures with their hands in their pockets.

Another person said: "This Ken doesn't like to be touched across the nape of his back. Simu Liu handled it well though." A third twitter user joked: "Oh I'd literally never show my face again."
Some people sided with Ryan's reaction, with one fan tweeting: "I mean you supposed to ask before you touch someone." However, others defended Simu: "Is it me or has Ryan Gosling come off very arrogant for this entire press tour?"
Ryan stars as the main Ken in the newly released Barbie film alongside Margot Robbie, who plays the main Barbie. In the film, Simu plays Tourist Ken.
John Cena, Scott Evans and Kingsley Ben-Adir also play different versions of the popular doll.
