Emmerdale exit 'sealed' for character after 12 years amid life-changing news
Emmerdale could be lining up a shock exit on the ITV soap, as a character looks set to bow out of the village after 12 years.
Spoilers tease an exit for the major character amid a difficult time for him and his family. A life-changing decision next week could well seal his fate, and lead to a departure after more than a decade on screen.
Fans know that recently, Dan Spencer landed himself in serious trouble with the law. His daughter Amelia Spencer was being harassed by a subscriber of her online social media platform, where she posted tutorial videos to followers for money.
A man named Lloyd tracked her down and demanded time alone with her, and as he continued to harass her Dan stepped in. But things took a terrible turn when he punched Lloyd, and caused a serious head injury.
Lloyd remains in a coma and it's not known for sure if he will wake up, after plans to bring him out of the coma are halted. Lloyd's wife Julie doesn't believe Dan or Amelia about their claims about her husband, and so she continues to seek revenge on the father and daughter.

Next week, spoilers reveal Amelia goes to desperate lengths to help her dad fearing she will lose him. Later in he week, Dan heads to court where he must enter his plea.
Dan braces himself for what’s to come and as Dan glances at Julie, he’s met with an overwhelming sense of guilt. Dan is haunted by his actions and makes a life-changing decision that leaves his daughter stunned.
The character pleads guilty to the charges against him, and Amelia can't face him. But with the seriousness of the charges and Lloyd's fate unknown, will this land Dan in prison for a long time and will he leave the show for good?
It comes at a time where the father and daughter faced financial woes, following Amelia welcoming her baby daughter last year. The young mum was desperate to get a job but struggled to find one that paid the bills.
She turned to social media and enjoyed posting content and getting paid for it. But Lloyd and others targeting her left her devastated, and unsure whether she could continue.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
